The event “Facing Health Inequalities and Epidemics: lessons from the Brazilian experience for the global response to the Covid-19 pandemic” will take place virtually (web conference) on March 18, starting at 11:30 am (Brazil Standard Time) / 2:30pm (Greenwich Mean Time), on Cebrap’s YouTube .
Moderator: Alex Shankland (IDS)
Participants: Rômulo Paes (Fiocruz Minas), Isabele Bachtold (IDS / Ministério da Cidadania), Rudi Rocha (EAESP – FGV / IEPS) and Vera Schattan (Cebrap / UFABC / CEM)
The meeting will be held in Portuguese.
As part of an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP) and the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) canceled part of the meeting “Development, political innovation and inequalities: agendas for the new decade ” which was due to take place at Cebrap’s headquarters – Rua Morgado de Mateus, 615, Vila Mariana, São Paulo – on March 18th. These events will hopefully be rearranged.
This seminar is part of a broader exchange program between the two institutions (Cebrap and IDS) aimed at public discussion of topics relevant to the field of “studies on development” in Brazil and in the world.
